The Youth Media Alliance (YMA) has announced its nominees for the 2021 Awards of Excellence and we are thrilled to share that Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum has been nominated for two awards.
First up, Xavier Riddle has been nominated for the Award of Excellence for Best Program, Animation (Preschool 3-5) for the episode I am Harriet Tubman. The series is nominated alongside Hero Elementary (Monster Hunters / Soapy Situation), 16 Hudson (The Great Race), StarBeam (Snacktime for Stewart), and Esme & Roy (To Cupcake With Love/A True Monsterpiece).
Xavier Riddle also scooped up the Award of Excellence for Best Gaming or Interactive Experiences for Story Creator, produced by 9 Story Media Group, Brown Bag Films, and Relish Interactive. Other nominees in this category include CBC Kids News and Louis Says III Interactive Appisode.

The Awards of Excellence celebrate and honour Canadian content in screen-based productions for youth. The winners will be revealed during a virtual gala which will be held on May 26, 2021, streamed live from Toronto. The event will be presented online via the platform Remo. It is free to attend this year’s ceremony, details on how to register will be available on the YMA website at a future date.
