9 Story Announces New Broadcast Deals For Children’s Factual Series, Making Stuff

(TORONTO) (March 18, 2011) – Canada-based production and distribution company 9 Story Entertainment has sealed broadcast deals for its newest children’s factual series, Making Stuff, in a number of international territories.

Produced by  Loten Media, Making Stuff (52 x 5”) has been sold to SIC (Portugal), Noga (Israel), Al Jazeera (Middle East) and Bonambridge Media (Malayasia & Brunei).

In Canada, the series premiered this past Fall 2010 on TVO and is currently rating as one of their top 5 series.  It also launched in Fall 2010 on TFO (in French language) and Knowledge Network.

Making Stuff follows the adventures of Gears, an animated host made out of spare parts from the factory floor and his animated pal Wiz, whose x-ray vision helps children understand the inner workings of the machines they meet. Designed to show young viewers ages 4-9 how objects they encounter every day are made, the series is shot in HD in real factories, food plants and wherever items such as gelato, chocolate, teddy bears, kayaks, jigsaw puzzles and model trains are made.
