9 Story Entertainment licenses Joe & Jack to ARD/SWR for a launch on KiKA Germany

Toronto, Canada – March 11, 2014 – 9 Story Entertainment is pleased to announce the sale of its hit animated preschool series, Joe & Jack (39 x 7’) to Germany’s ARD/SWR.  ARD/SWR plans to broadcast the series on KiKA, its public children’s channel, beginning May 12. Joe & Jack was also recently licensed to Česká televise in the Czech Republic. 9 Story picked up worldwide distribution rights to the series a year ago as part of its acquisition of CCI’s Kids & Family library.

Produced by Ireland’s Dancing Girl Productions, Joe & Jack launched in 2012 on Ireland’s national broadcaster RTE. It has also been licensed to ABC(Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), Tiny Pop (UK), Canal + (France), RTP (Portugal), NPO’s kids channel Z@ppelin (Netherlands), YLE (Finland), EESTI(Estonia), RTVS (Slovenia), TéléQuebec (French Canada), Knowledge Network (Canada), HOP (Israel), Discovery Familia (US Hispanic) and Disney Junior (Latin America).

Joe & Jack is a preschool series about a 4-year-old boy named Joe, and his best friend; who happens to be a cat, Jack. These two have the biggest imaginations and their days are filled with all sorts of adventures.
