This just in! Let’s Go, Bananas! has been nominated for the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in the category of Outstanding Children’s Programming!

The GLAAD Media Awards celebrate and honor outstanding fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues in film, television, gaming, publishing, stage productions, music, podcasting, journalism, and more. This year, as GLAAD celebrates 40 years of advocacy and culture change, the 36th annual GLAAD Media Awards will be held in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 27, where they spotlight 303 culture-changing nominees across 33 categories.

Let’s Go, Bananas! is created by Tim Bain (writer on Bluey, PJ Masks, and creator of Nick Jr’s Kangaroo Beach), based on his own joyfully bonkers family life. The show features a community of three sweet, silly animal families; gorilla girl Apple and her two Dads (the Bananas), crocodile twins Josh and Jamie and their single mother (the Crockers), and sisters Stellar and Piper and their tiger Mom and gazelle Dad (the Tiger-Zelles). Let’s Go, Bananas! is developed and produced by 9 Story Media Group, animated by Brown Bag Films (Toronto), and directed by Brown Bag Films’ own Matt Mitchell (Let’s Go Luna, Rosie’s Rules).

The Let’s Go, Bananas! nomination is a wonderful recognition for the show’s entire team, who brought this incredible series to screen, with its zany characters, heartfelt humor, and unique adventures that champion inclusivity, joy, and the diversity of every family.
