Eckhart celebrates the pioneering spirit, and the joys and challenges of growing up in a beautiful, magical place called Prince Edward Island. The animated family series explores really big themes from a very small perspective that of a mouse named Eckhart, who is full of irrepressible wonderment about the mysteries of his world. A cast of colourful characters joins Eckhart. Grandpa Tomis, mother Clara and sister Mavis; Bridgid and Sweeney the barn mice; Boss Mouse and his henchmen Ned and Shorty; Madame Thel, Sir Roswald the skunk, Winnie the horse and many others. This new series of 13 half-hour episodes is inspired by the animated holiday special The True Meaning of Crumbfest and the writings of David Weale.
