Statue of Liberty
Location: New York, United States of America
The Statue of Liberty is a renowned neoclassical sculpture located on Liberty Island, that symbolizes independence and freedom. Today, this special monument is an extremely popular destination for tourists…such as Luna!

Great Pyramid of Giza
Location: Giza, Egypt
The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and was built during the reign of King Khufu (also known as Cheops). This amazing Egyptian monument is the oldest and largest of three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex!
FUN FACT! Did you know that Egyptian kings expected to become gods in the afterlife and therefore built pyramids as temples and tombs to sustain themselves in their next life?
Roman Colosseum
Location: Rome, Italy
The Roman Colosseum is the largest amphitheatre in the world, seating approximately 50,000 spectators who would come to watch sporting events and games. Although two-thirds of the Colosseum have been destroyed over time, it’s still an extremely popular tourist destination attracting thousands of people every year!
FUN FACT! Did you know that underground passages were created below the Colosseum, where animals and gladiators were kept before they participated in sporting events?
Eiffel Tower
Location: Paris, France
The Eiffel Tower or ‘La Tour Eiffel’ (in French), is an exhibit that was built as an entrance arch for the World’s Fair in 1889. Millions of people climb the Eiffel Tower every year and it has welcomed over 250 million visitors since its opening!
FUN FACT! The Eiffel Tower is made up of iron and has been nicknamed ‘La dame de fer,’ which means ‘the iron lady.’
Taj Mahal
Location: Agra, India
The Taj Mahal is a renowned mausoleum that contains several tombs in honor of influential people, such as Mumtaz Mahal, the third wife of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The Taj Mahal complex is considered to be one of India’s most appreciated works of art, and includes a large garden, pool, mosque, and other mausoleums.
FUN FACT! Did you know that the Taj Mahal took approximately 20 years to build?
