Rosie and Gatita present: ‘Robot Planter Maker’ – a brand-new addition to the Rosie’s Rules suite of online games on the PBS KIDS site & PBS KIDS Games App.
In this new game, developed by 9 Story’s Interactive team along with partners PBS KIDS and Curious Media, families are invited to join Rosie and her fluffyball cat in the Fuentes family backyard to create robot-y planters for all the people in their community. Players start by selecting seeds for a special plant and using re-purposed items like plastic bottles and cartons to plant them. Next step, it’s time to get creative! Players are now encouraged to make their robot planters unique by decorating them with pipe-cleaners, colorful tin foil, googly eyes, a variety of seasonal stickers and more! In the new game, ‘Robot Planter Maker,’ Rosie models how to show appreciation for others by encouraging kids to dedicate their planter to someone special.
Kids will also be guided to find new ways to use recyclable items, compost unwanted soil and learn how to plant seeds. And to top off the crafty gameplay, players get to snap a picture to add to their very own planter family scrap book – and save a printable coloring page of their creation. “Macaroni & Queso” this game is one artful adventure!
Rosie’s ‘Robot Planter Maker’ is based on the adorable hit series Rosie’s Rules from 9 Story Media Group now airing on PBS KIDS. The show follows the adventures of Rosie Fuentes, a 5-year-old Mexican American girl who is starting to learn all about life with her blended, multicultural family by her side. As Rosie learns new lessons, she shares her “rules” about life with viewers, teaching kids how to navigate their world.
Rosie’s ‘Robot Planter Maker’ is the fifth supertastical game to launch in the Rosie Rule’s interactive suite of play, joining the wildly popular ‘Rosie Care,’ ‘Rosie’s Slime Store,’ ‘Rosie’s Flop Fiesta,’ and ‘Riding with Rosie games.’
