Have you ever wondered how many different creatures have been featured on Wild Kratts over the years? Well, look no further, because, with the help of the Kratt Brothers’ team, we’ve pulled together an illustrated infographic to help capture and count all the many animals that have been animated and explored on the wildly popular adventure-comedy series over the past ten years.
The first episode of Wild Kratts aired on January 3, 2011. Titled “Mom of a Croc” and set at the Nile River in Uganda, the inaugural expedition featured the Bros. on a mission to learn more about the crocodile! To date, there has been a total of 158 episodes of the animated series that have featured a whopping 393 different animal species.
In our “Wild Kratts Creature Count” infographic, we break down the various species of animals that have appeared on episodes of Wild Kratts, including mammals, arachnids, annelids, and more. We also list each species current global count. For example, if you look under the ‘Birds’ category, you will see that Wild Kratts has featured 68 out of the 10,500+ different birds currently accounted for on earth! If you do the math, that means there are still quite a few birds for the brothers to explore… a colossal 10,432+ to be exact!
