We are thrilled to share that that Let’s Go Luna! has snagged a nomination for Best Original Music, Animation in the Television category for the episode “Dig it Daddy-O” at the 2023 Canadian Screen Awards.
Every year, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television honours the best of the best in Canadian Kids media at the Canadian Screen Awards – Children’s and Animation Program. Huge congratulations to composers Ari Posner, Amin Bhatia and Kris Kuzdak who have received this nomination for their excellent work on Let’s Go Luna!, Season 2, Episode 25 “Dig it Daddy-O”.
Let’s Go Luna! follows the hilarious adventures of three friends Leo, a wombat from Australia; Carmen, a butterfly from Mexico; and Andy, a frog from the U.S. as they traverse the globe with their parents’ traveling performance troupe, “Circo Fabuloso.” At each of the Circo’s stops, Luna the Moon guides the trio as they get to know the local region and its people. In “Dig it Daddy-O,” Andy becomes the new Prince of Beatniks in San Francisco and must find a way to live up to the title.
Let’s Go Luna! is produced by 9 Story Media Group and with animation by our award-winning studio Brown Bag Films (Toronto). The series encourages kids ages 4-7 to explore and appreciate world cultures while developing social skills. In Canada, Let’s Go Luna! airs on TVOKids and Knowledge Kids.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Let’s Go Luna! been nominated in the Best Original Music, Animation category at the Canadian Screen Awards. The series snagged the category win in both 2021 and 2022.
The 2023 Canadian Screen Awards will be presented in a series of seven intimate genre-based awards presentations, in person at Meridian Hall in Toronto from Tuesday, April 11, 2023 through to Friday, April 14, 2023, all culminating with The Canadian Screen Awards with Samantha Bee, broadcasting on Sunday, April 16 at 8 PM (9 AT, 9:30 NT) on CBC and CBC Gem. The Children’s & Animation Awards ceremony, presented by Shaw Rocket Fund, will take place at 12pm ET on Wednesday, April 12.
